Pumpkins pies and proselyting

Well, it's the beginning of the last month today and that's quite a milestone because I remember last year thinking that this entire next year I will be on my mission and that this next year is going to be very very long and that it was never going to end. Now, it's very close to the end of the year, not to mention, this month will be going by faster than most because there are so many things that are going on, such as transfers, Christmas, new year’s, Christmas training. There are a lot of events that are happening this month, and I've always been afraid of Christmas and this last month because I know that after this month the end is near and that it's going to sneak up on us.  We're not going to focus on that.  We're just going to focus on the here and now.   We're in the last 2 weeks of the transfer and the last 2 weeks of Elder Dupre being in Slovakia, which he's sad to see it go by.  There is still plenty of time to be a missionary and to find those which are elect and will come unto Christ.  This week though went by extremely quick but it was Great fun.  We had a Great time meeting with all of our investigators and we had Great and wonderful experiences with them. I'm so excited for the work in Zilina because it's really being hastened and the area is being built how the Lord wants it built and I only hope that I can do everything that He wants me to accomplish here. It's been a pretty full week and all that so I guess we should get going in what happened.

This week we had to plan a lot of things, we are having the Christmas party in Banska Bystrica in the coming week and we're going to be starting Tithing Settlements, which | need to do this week and probably more next week too. I will probably be down in Banska a little early to do a tithing settlement for all of the members down there. We are also planning a concert the day before so we're going to have a good time with that, especially since we're only 4 guys, it's probably going to be rough. This week we had a visit from the district and Brat Rezac came who is a high councilor from Brno, I think he actually served his mission here and was one of the first missionaries in Zilina because we have a paper that has a list of all the missionaries that have served here and his name is on it but we're not entirely sure.  He's quite old and has quite a big family and has a full head of gray hair, just like Dad haha.

So for this week me and Elder Dupre made pumpkin pies for everyone and let them go at iit. They were rather good if I say so.  We have a ton of them to make for ourselves because we have a ton of batter left over because we bought too much pumpkin haha but that's okay. The funny story though was we brought about 24 of them and we let everyone have one and then they told us to have ours but we told them it's okay they can eat them.  We have 40 or so at home, and so they all ran up and took another one haha. Needless to say, they went over very well haha.

This week was a great week with our investigators we had 2 lessons with the family in which we talked about prayer and then for the second one we talked about how it sounds so easy to pray but really the easiest and most simple things are usually the ones that work. They took that really well and the father told us that he knelt down and felt that he should pray and read the Book of Mormon but then didn't because he was really tired and didn't want to get up haha. That's really funny and sounds like it's unfortunate but it's actually a wonderful thing because that's progress from him, we felt for the longest time that he wasn't very interested in what we were saying but then he comes with that and comes with a huge changeup haha. That family is so great and we're so grateful that we can teach them they are inviting us over to dinner before Elder Dupre leaves and they're excited for it haha. We also had our lesson with our Norwegian friend last week and he's doing great he reads every time that we come and really likes our meetings, he says they're fun for him and that he really enjoys our company and everything. He's quite the good reader and always reads a few chapters before we come which is great, now we're just going to work with him on praying consistently and help with that. We feel that he wants to believe but it's hard for him to think that he can believe because he's so skeptical. I think he has wonderful potential to be a Great member. We officially dropped our JW friend, I'm not too broken up about it, I'm sad that he doesn't want to learn but he gave me a lot of stress anxiety. We were able to pick up a previous former as well this week and that was good for us he is very humble and very willing but I'm not exactly sure where to go with him he reads and prays but feels like the Book of Mormon is wrong, I don't know we'll see how long we keep him going, I sure hope he feels the urge to change though.

Well that's pretty much everything, thanks for all of your emails and supports and keeping me in on everything that is happening. Congratulations to Richard on the new baby, she's very cute, I wish you all the best and I wish the rest of you a wonderful week and I also wish Dad a Happy Birthday, you're getting old :). I love you all and hope you have a great and safe week.
